Yesterday’s report that a breakthrough plastic recycling technology developed by Australian researchers will shift overseas, costing Australian jobs, is a further indication that the Morrison government is too late and too slow in responding to Australia’s waste crisis.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been caught out being loose with the truth yet again after promising to deliver a plastics waste export ban at the UN General Assembly, which he anticipated would start in 2020.

The tired third-term Morrison Government has no plan for our country and nowhere is that more evident than in environment policy.

Today the Standing Committee on Industry, Innovation, Science, and Resources announced it will hold an inquiry into Australia’s waste management and recycling industries.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reportedly cancelled the December COAG meeting of leaders, because of his failure to come up with a recycling policy.
